A WebProWorld member has been struggling with some cross-browser compatibility issues regarding Flash transparency.

This is surely a common problem and I thought was worth bringing up in FlashNewz.

WebProWorld member Matheen writes:
Hi All

This is my new website

http://www.azerauae.com/home.html

My problem is the flash transparancy which is not supporting by mozilla browser, if u see the above website in FF, u will see a gray box behind the scrolling text, where as in IE u can view the transparent flash...

Any suggestions friends, how to solve this problem

One member so far has responded to the post with:
<param name='Wmode' value='Transparent'> = ie solution
<embed ... wmode='transparent'> = ff solution.

This the answer I found with a quick google search.

If anyone has anything to add to this (as of the time of writing, Matheen's transparency problem has not been resolved on the site) please feel free to add to the conversation here.

By the way, there are plenty of other Flash-related threads going on at WebProWorld in the Flash Discussion Forum. New members are always welcome.
