16, 2010Man I love going to FlashcomGuru. It's so nice to have brothers in arms in what it seems to be an oversaturation of Apple product exposure. I've always had issues with Apple. Their "1-button mouse", proprietary mp3 encoding, and their war against Flash. I want a 1-button mouse as much as I want a 1-button game controller. And I might actually want to use another program to play mp3s that isn't a bloated resource hog. I might also want to actually go on a flash site on my mobile web. I'm ashamed to use my gifted ipod sometimes. If and when I get a smart phone, you can bet it will be one that uses Flash. This weeks article what the mobile experience should look like. We've got some great flash sites this week. Some of which would be really fun on a mobile browser. Sorry, I'm fired up this week. It must be nice to be so successful you can alienate so much of your user base without hurting yourself. Because developers that use macs never work with Adobe products, do they? Agh, I'm at it again. That's it for me this week. I've done enough chest-puffing for a single Friday morning. Ill let Stefan take over. Later! Mark Rivera For any site suggestions or general musings, gimme a shout at mark@flashnewz.com And don't forget to check out our Flash Directory |

What the Mobile Web Should Look Like ![]() By Stefan Richter Maybe - just maybe - Adobe will be delivering on its promise of Flash on mobile this time. If videos such as the one below are anything to go by then now would be a good time to get excited - I know I am. Whether you like Flash or not, it is an integral thread of today's web's fabric and those platforms that try to exclude it are missing out on some great experiences. I'll be ordering my HTC Desire later this month when I'll be saying: Bye bye iPhone and walled garden OS, hello Android. I'm not pretending that I understand even half of the presentation's contents, yet it'll be great to see this technology evolve. Let's hope Adobe approaches it's eventual pricing sensibly. ![]() Comments About The AuthorStefan is a certified Flash Developer who has been involved with Flash Media Server since its very early days.
